Hemmingway's Specialty Shoppe is a coastal-inspired boutique named after our beloved furry companion, Hemmingway. What began as a creative passion has grown into a collection of handmade jewelry, stained glass art, and signature dog bandanas - each designed to reflect the beauty, calm, and quiet wonder of the sea.

Kim Koletas, a glass and jewelry artist from North Carolina now living in Northern Virginia, has always been drawn to art and nature. After earning a degree in graphic design, she discovered her true creative path through stained glass at a small community studio - falling in love with its color, movement, and imperfect beauty. 

 

That same love of color, light, and imperfection naturally expanded into jewelry design and eventually thoughtfully crafted dog bandanas - each collection reflecting the same coastal inspiration and heartfelt storytelling.

 

Surrounded and supported by her husband, their daughter Isabelle, and their two rescue pups , Hemmingway and Jasmine, Kim's work is continuously shaped by the quiet beauty of nature and the deep bond shared within her faith, family and animals. 

At Hemmingway's Specialty Shoppe, we believe art is meant to be experienced - not just seen or worn. It should carry feeling, memory, and a sense of place; transporting you, even briefly, to somewhere you long to be.
